I just hope it isn't an issue again with too many users for the server. That means me paying more money to allow a greater number of users. Gulp

Sator, you might want to ask them if their DNS is/are under DDoS attack. Has happened to some academic sites - their hosting services' DNS were under DDoS attack. Same symptom: The website appears unreachable.

Since I do not have any problems with access I wonder whether or not it's your ISP or the browser settings that causes the trouble.
Same for me. Isn't this a USA users specific issue ?

I have to report these to the service provider.
I suspect that peak times of usage occur in North America ie it is forum congestion that is causing this. Also we are on a shared server.

I am experimenting with blocking access to guests so I can reduce the amount of traffic to the site. More traffic = increased running costs. Most of these guests are not human anyway, they are just bots.
