Finally, my Lilla is on its way. It took me 8 weeks and 30 emails to figure it out.

 

34m/70cm wide Lilla is 3.70Euro/m + 100Euro shipping from UK to USA with 5kg maxed out is together 226Euro equals 6.40Euro/m

Payment only by bank transfer, no paypal, no credit card.

 

Black and Son's sells about 25$/yard.

 

Shipping from IT is 150Euro/5kg

Shipping from DE (Orag) is 30Euro/5kg at about 8.50Euro/m, only bank transfer

 

Orag and Gilt Edge would have here the same end price with a maxed out 5kg parcel or 34m canvas.

 

There is no 165 - 175g/m2 Hymo available in the U.S.A., only Black and Son's could maybe have it.

Steinlauf & Stoller only has 150 and 200g/m2

It is all about surviving in darkness here. I have no clue how others in America get their 165 - 175g/m2 Italian hair camel canvas. If someone writes to Gilt Edge he might hardly gets an answer...

 

But I got my answer, and here is the Gold Dust, Tessillino Lilla! 34m of the best Hymo I ever had in my life. It is going to last until the new world is arising. 25 Dollar/m if someone is in urge.

Here is what you need to ultra stabilize the chest without shoulder support. 43% pure horse hair. You can buy that in Germany Orag. They don't answer on emails if you don't pretend living in Germany, payment only by IBAN, no paypal, no credit card, same with Tessillino. Everything is almost not possible to order if you are outside of Europe and if you are poor in money and networking. Today in these days, nobody helps you, you are on your own, if you need competetive material for successfull tailoring.

On top of that now comes 85$ = 69 Euro Tax from US over FedEx paid. The FedEx letter came today.

 

So all together is 226 + 69 = 295Euro

 

 Lilla is not Gold Dust, it is Diamond Dust now, because you cannot get it overseas, never can you get it to some 3rd world country. You need to have connections in Europe with a bank account in Europe in order to get canvas from there.

 

 Orag is probably the best way to get canvas. But, they don't answer letters outside Europe and you need to have also an European Bank Account. They also only speak German. They have not even answered me on email, when I asked them to ship to USA. They just ignore emails outside Germany.

 

I feel sorry for any stoneage tailor outside Europe, who cannot get the material which is needed.

 

On top of that now, since I am busy paying the tax now, Antonio made the total bill on 226Euro, including the 100Eurp shipping, so that I have now to pay even costums on shipping.

Silent dwells the see in the graveyard... with Gilt Edge Suiting, Antonio Argentino, sells canvas and trimming from the Italian firm Tessillino Zorloni Bruno.

 

Antonio has anwered, the Americans are not smart enough to deduct the shipping fee, and he is right, they should know that. I have to fill in a despute form now.
