Hi guys,

First time posting a thread, do you have any advice for cutting trousers for a big seat (112cm/44") and waist (82cm/32")?

Thanks in advance

Assess the body shape carefully. Identify where the shaping needs to be. The waist suppression then needs to reflect what the body needs whether it is more at the sides or back.

If this is a male figure, you will likely increase the angle a bit at CF, have a front dart , two good sized darts in the back, increase the angle at CB slightly, and some at the side seams.

Presumably pleats too?

Pleats might be a bit too much with such a difference in measurements.

Pleats are merely a style detail, the basic pattern needs to be correct for the body.

I'll try and post the pattern later today.

I'm trying to avoid pleats to maintain the clean line and I can accommodate thighs, the main issue is the seat to the waist.

I'm playing with the crookedness of the CF and CB.

Thank you for all the responses
