I suppose it's possible, but I would imagine your average scammer would make it easier to part with your cash. And he's always had completely awful, broken websites... But it does make me nervous about handing over any cash.

Yeah, I believe it's more-or-less mandatory if you're looking for work these days. I think it's also handy for freelancers...
