Interesting technique, when I sew on buttons, I use 4 threads and drag it through a block of soap but its only so so in terms of non-tangling the threads. This looks like a good technique.

That's the way I've seen it done elsewhere, except I thought you could do several strands at once.  The idea of knotting the threads at the end is interesting; I've been putting them in an envelope, baggie, or winding them around a business card. I've never heard of anyone ever using carnuba was.

I, too, have heard of others waxing several strands at once. I like the business card idea. I have been using small paper or cardboard cylinders to wrap strands around them like spools. Much like the cardboard found on cheap clothes hangers but cut up into multiple tubes. They came with a cheap portable sewing kit, the only thing I kept were the makeshift spools. Good idea. Maybe one day I'll treat myself and buy some thread cards and organizers from Maison Sajou.

These are great, so much insight in so little time.  Thank you for taking the time to produce those videos, I know it's time consuming. 

 

Below, I've posted pictures of my first go at the felling stitch.  It was a bit slow to start, but didn't take long to get the hang of it.

I've got much more practicing to do.
