Hi All,

Just received a sample of really stiff Vilene 635H sew-in interfacing.
The minimum order is 100m which I can't justify buying into - would anyone be interested in buying into a share so the cost and length could be shared?

No details on price yet - I'll get back to you all on that.

Thanks in advance.

Ive got the figures through. Price would be 3.50/meter (90cm wide) + postage.

If anyone would like a sample please give me a shout.

Can you post a photo of the sample or more information regarding fibre content, weight etc?

I received samples of two sew in interfacings this one, and a heavier one, the 682EH, which is their newest one. I like the 682EH, but can't justify 100 meters either. I like this one too, but since I tend to favor stiff (not uncomfortable) fused collars, if I had to go with a sewn in interlining, I'd get the 682EH. I'm working on buying some from the US sample shop for Freudenberg (at under 100 meters), but haven't bought yet because Harodite sent me samples too and they will sell under the 100 meter minimum. I am making more shirts lately, but 100 meters would last me quite a while. The minimum isn't incredibly bad, it's just that I don't have room to store 100 meters of 5 or 6 different interlinings. battye, have you made any sample collars using the 635H?

amateursarto,

Is 682EH the full code for the extra stiff interlining? I have contacted a Vilene supplier and they say that code doesn't show up on their systems.

Thanks a million. I checked with the supplier here and the code doesn't show up on the system so it may be under a different name in the EU.

I've received a sample of the 635H from Vilene.  I'd have to say that it seems not as stiff as the Mellosan 29NC from DHJ.  Are members here interested in sharing an order of a 50m roll of the Mellosan 29NC?

As a matter of interest amateursarto whats the situation with Harodite and the 682EH I've been told by one suppler that this reference is no longer being made and that from now on the 635H will be the stiffest interlining made by Vilene/Freudenberg.

In the meantime the Mellosan 29NC is progressing and I have emailed all those who contacted me.
