I obtained this volume a while ago and thought it might be ok to share them.

It is offered as an example of older practices and for private study purposes.

Don't forget to check out the Mueller website: http://muellersohn.c...r_world_euro_ms  for other high quality literature.

You can view the pages more closely if you right click on them individually and save them as jpg files.

No, Schneiderfrei, there is no new edition. There were a little series - unique in every way.
It was printed when Rundschau was only a custom tailors journal.

Hopefully, Rundschau will kindly allow interested people to view this.

I have altered the preface above, thanks posaune.

I wish I could edit the incorrect title!!! Der Praktische Zuschnitt.

OMG wish granted :) :) :)

You know learning any other language is simply a matter of an inner determination. Like many things.

My Heft III was less than that.

I will not be translating this volume, You could.

The forum was clearly established to celebrate tailoring and shows as much of the glorious accomplishments from the past as possible.

I doubt it was intended to prop up a market in second hand books.

The main reason I posted this volume is because there is so very much from this time on the forum that is in English.

There is very little on the forum in German although it is clear that German tailoring, at least in that period, is so very interesting and instructive.

Also there is even less on women's tailoring in general.

Determination, but also good teachers and exposure. It's not unlike tailoring in some respects.

Julian Scavini, the tailor who writes Stiff Collar has a good post on a visit to the factory that does his made-to-measure (as opposed to bespoke) work. I've skimmed it once, but it's in French and Google Translate is even less helpful than usual so I didn't post it.

I hope they get paid enough in Moldavia for doing 9 hours in a factory in 40 degree heat. Then again they're outside the EU so they'll be cheaper. This is how you avoid having 'Made in China' on your wares and still make your profit. Blimey, what will they do if Moldavia joins the EU?

Each phenomenon which is taken up should be treated with as much thoroughness as possible at that standpoint... One thing at a time and that done well!

Cheap textiles are made in EU too. Mainly Bulgaria has even lower wages than China. Officially "Made in EU".
