The Wayback Machine works in the same way for everyone. I don't have any special privileges.

 

Perhaps you mean searching within the snapshots? Well, yes. I can't do that either. But navigating around the site is possible, even if i is more work than using the search.

 

I'm sorry to say so, Henry - but I don't think it's an effective backup. I can't even practice basic navigation.

 

For example, if I open the C&T home page in WBM, it looks like this:

But when I click on a link such as 'The Advanced Apprentices Forum', I get this page:

 

http://i.imgur.com/YGJxBXu.png

 

For me, this makes WBM ineffective as a backup solution.

I think it depends on how the site was set up. VintageSewing.info has the images and pages when you click on the links.
