This book seems to be mostly descriptive. Hardly anything is explained. For example, the first drawing shows a rider wearing double-breasted coat and in the text I believe once double-breasted is mentioned, but why the single-breasted coat dominates is not explained. I do not understand the recommendation the expression <pink> should be avoided in mixed company.

PS: I fear my comment could be misunderstood, so I must clarify. Description is necessary, and this book is beautiful and valuable, even if what I consider explanation is not included.
